Barbers and salons sell on two things a printed poster is bad at: what it costs, and what the work looks like. A screen does both — a clear price list that you can change the day you put your prices up, and a loop of your own cuts and colours running behind it.

A window screen has to fight daylight, so brightness matters more here than size. A dim panel in a sunny window is invisible by eleven in the morning, and that is the single most common mistake in this trade.

Bright enough for a sunny window

A standard indoor panel is not. High-brightness window displays exist precisely because glass and daylight defeat an ordinary screen by mid-morning.

Portrait, usually

A price list reads down, not across, and a portrait screen fits the narrow glass beside a door better than a landscape one.

Your work, not stock photos

The loop is only worth running if the cuts on it are yours. Stock imagery reads as stock imagery and does the opposite of what you wanted.

Will it be readable in direct sunlight?

Only if you buy for it. Our ultra-bright window displays are built for glass; a standard indoor panel in a south-facing window will wash out. Tell us which way your shopfront faces and we will size the brightness rather than guess.

Can I run it from my phone?

Not from a phone — content is managed from a PC or laptop. It is loaded onto the media player, or scheduled through our CMS software if you subscribe. For a price list that changes a few times a year, the player on its own is the more reliable arrangement — nothing to go wrong when your Wi-Fi does.

How much is a window screen?

Our window displays start around £1,175 ex VAT for a 32 inch and are priced on the product page by size. Anything that needs a survey — ceiling-hung, or sized to your glass — is quoted after we have seen it.
